And I wish he was more willing to use his height to mix it up inside, but man he is a skilled, athletic kid for 6'6. With all the AAU and advanced competition he's been playing for the last several years, he'll be ready to play on Day 1.

I'd honestly never heard the Seljaas/Bigs comparison. At least in my own mind, it was an original.

Also, I think he's a legit 6'7", but at the same time I realize who I'm arguing with

Lots to sort out with next years roster as by my count there are 15 guys vying for 13 scholarships. My recommendations is for Zac Seljaas to go straight on a mission and Nate Austin pay his way next year. But the word is Zac is still planning to play next year which I don't understand because I am not sure I see him playing very much next season. Other scholarship cuts could be if KyleC goes pro. That is not one that I would like very much and likely even understand less than Seljaas not going straight on a mission.

If Kaufusi and Davis are starters then I think they should have scholarships.

Either way, he's a guy who could come in and get double figures from day one. Also, if a guy plays as a freshman and plays well, there is always that glimmer of hope that he choose to skip the mission and play four straight. KC isn't going anywhere, btw.
Really looking forward to next season already.

Hopefully in some nice new seats in the Big Mac!

It is NOAH F'N HARTSOCK Son! As for Davis, he is legit! When I saw him play earlier in the year, he was the 2nd best dude on the floor behind Haws. Granted KC was still rehabbing the knee but Davis will make our team significantly better than this years team due to his ability to score inside, rebound, and defend. I would say his game is comparable to Noah's but he is more athletic. With regards to Aytes, if he can score and defend the team could be really special with Austin and Kaufusi manning the 5. This would allow Rose to go 10 deep and play aggressive defense and then basically run everyone out of the gym.

My guess is that the pres-season and early nonconference schedule will see a lot of experimentation with these guys. Which combo works best? Need defensive rebounding, maybe you go with Davis/Austin. Post defense, Davis/Kaufusi?

It's hard to say what Aytes will bring to the table, since we haven't seen him.

Supposedly Aytes has all the post moves to the rim and can score in the paint. Sadly, that sets him apart in this bunch.

I think he was thinking about those in the accounting program at Stevens Henniger.

I think he chose to transfer because he wanted a piece of that vaunted BYU accounting program. So that should tell you all you need to know about him. Which is if he is good and the key player to a final 4 team, he is not likely tapping some haughty on the side and will disrupt our dreams. Nobody who studies accounting gets laid before they are 30.

Davis played for USU against us last year. In that game he went 7/11 from the field for 16 points and 9 rebounds.
