Part of me hopes that perhaps Jordan sees Jabari at BYU as a possibility and that is why he is going to Utah. I tend to be an optimist! Playing time is important to Loveridge and as a freshman he will back up Collinsworth. Then after Davies graduates I could see Collinsworth moving to the 5 and Loveridge could get a shot to start for 3 years at BYU. But if Jabari goes to the Y then Loveridge would have to wait another year or two until Parker goes big time.

That is my logic and I am sticking to it unless Dick is just sticking the knife in Utenation, which I doubt, and Loveridge chooses the Y.

Yes, I think that both Loveridge and Parker would be 4's in BYU's system. Alas neither are heading this way so I expect it to be Hartsock this year and Stephen Rogers the following year.

I am surprised that Rose has lost him and I am interested to see what happens. Saying that last year I thought all was lost when BYU lost Brett Kingma, but then Carlino fell into BYU's lap.

The world revolves around BYU and it absolutely has to do with us. Everything has to do with us. He is an undersized 4 with no outside game. He has inflated stats against weak competition and will be lucky to win 50 games in his 4 years at Utah.

I thought Utah had a shot. He's from Salt Lake Valley, apparently hasn't got any strong ties to BYU. He's assured to get major playing time as soon as he lands on campus and would be playing in a major conference.

Sounds like you've given up all hope of Utah ever turning the program around. I understand your fascination with Oregon with that kind of attitude.

I believe that Utah can turn the program around, but our turnaround isn't going to be because instate LDS kids. How often has Dave Rose lost an instate LDS kid that he wants?
