    What is the recipe for high level success? We could certainly do the LDS roster of years past and maybe there would be more "loyalty", but it's not enough. We need top tier players with a smattering of "culture" guys who stay

    As long as the NIL money is available, BYU will be just fine in basketball. I hate it, but there isn't anything to worry about in Provo.

    What do people expect? Let's see, Rob Wright goes into the portal last year to get a bigger bag and then people are surprised when he, again, goes into the portal to get a bigger bag.

    Worst case scenario for AJ is he goes 3rd and that isn't happening. He is the first or second pick. It would be enormously stupid for him to come back for another season at BYU. There is no benefit.

    I think the team throwing in the towel seems amiss.

    As far as transfers go, if everyone in the portal and AJ leaves, that leaves two returning players (Koz and Mboup). We lost 6 players in each of the prior two seasons to the portal/pro, and we're set to increase that number by 50% this year.
