I think I believe. Winning games against decent teams where different players play key roles are indicators of a good team. At this point I think for BYU to make the NCAA tournament they need to win 4 more regular season games and one Big 12 tournament game for a final record of 20-13. However, I believe BYU will do a bit better than that. I think BYU wins 6 more regular season games and one in the tournament to finish 22-11 and likely get a 8-9 seed. Good rebound from where they were losing to TCU, Utah and Texas Tech at home. I think BYU wins 3 out of the 5 games of Arizona & Kansas at home and at Cincy, WVU and ASU. I think they lose, but compete well, at Arizona and Iowa State. They beat KSU, Utah and WVU all at home.
We need more time but I don't think coaching at the college level and developing players will be a problem for KY, but the biggest indicator of his long term consistent success will be his ability to retain key core players. I expect Egor to go pro and if he doesn't Dallin Hall to go into the portal-but one of those two ought to come back for next year. Boscovich is a likely loss IMO-I just think this year has likely helped him to see that the NBA is just not a likely destination for him and backing up at BYU for another year is likely not as attractive as just going home and starting a Euro pro career. I hope the rest return to run it back along with Dybantsa and Staton as freshman.
That was a fun win on Saturday and my guess is U of A gets one of Demin's best games on the year Tuesday night with the late start- "NIGHTVEAR....very nice!"
