I've hardly seen Tavernari play until the last two games. Kid is not much of an athlete at all. I mean, hardly anyone on this team is, but he looks very laterally and vertically challenged.

I'm going to ignore the predictable degeneration of any thread where BYU is losing in to a ref bash to point out the obvious: Dave Rose needs to make some adjustments and doesn't appear to know what they ought to be. He is not showing himself to be a good in-game coach at the moment. He and his assistants better come up with something at half time or this is going to get well out of hand.

I actually think you couldn't be more wrong. The game plan isn't bad. We've shut down Clemente. Their big guys are in check. Pullen's gotten hot, but you can't do a lot about that. KSU's just a good rebounding team, but we've done a little better towards the end of the half. I hate to say it, but Pullen's gotten into Jimmer's head--he's hurting us right now. And yeah, I'm gonna say it--I don't know you can call this balanced officiating. Yet again, Jimmer can't buy a foul. KSU's one of the leading fouling teams in the country and their foul count is half of BYU's? Pullen's defense is why we're losing this but he's getting away with murder with Jimmer. I'd say do it back, but we're getting called for it. Miles' screen was a good physical screen in a game where they're letting a lot go--that was a BS call. I do have to say, I thought UNI was getting jobbed at the end of their game. Weird.

The refs aren't the reason we're losing though. Neither is the game plan. It's Pullen.

Good no call on Llyod's layup. Refs always let fouls go at the end of the game.

Bottom line is we have no inside presence. Anyone else why Abouo played so little.

UDan didn't say the game plan was bad, but that the in game adjustments were. I agree with everything you said though. Jimmer needs to extricate himself from pullen's lower colon.

Not really. Dennis Pitta is a first-round pick if he consistently follows through on linebackers the way Miles followed through on that play.

Sure, it's a foul, but not in this game. That's how you deal with a guard who handchecks the entire length of the floor.

HAHA! I love it when announcers make stupid comments. Describing the last play when Jackson dribble down to the baseline and turned it over they described the Kstate defense as "swarming" and then they say "the ball is loose, and Kstate goes and gets it and then they're able to turn it into offense." I guess they forgot that Clemente missed his tre, nice offense in transition.

well, we won in round one. watching jimmer drive and get slaughtered and not get a call has made me stop caring about this game.
