They are MWC officials. I don't get surprised by much.

Also, how many of you guys would pay to watch Jimmer and Geary play HORSE or 1 on 1?

      You sir are a liar.

What is set to happen on Saturday will make prison rape kind by comparison.

Fredette should try to go for 100.

Hey at least there is some benefit to watching the games on the mtn -- every replay is inconclusive because it's like watching the Zapruder film.

I am happy with how this team has done coming off of a conference championship. We got beat on the road by a good Wyoming team tonight, but remember teams don't win conference championships and then have great runs the next year.

BYU's RPI jumps up to 19 (from 22) with the loss.

UNM jumps all the way up to 12!

it wasn't definitive enough to overturn. I think it was upheld because they couldn't overturn it, not because they thought it was the right call.

Also, maybe I am just noticing now, but Jimmer kind of has a fugly shot. His shooting arm elbow is pointed out in some weird direction. I never noticed but on that 3-point replay, they kept showing it over and over. hard to argue with his results, though.

My biggest gripes about tonight's loss:

              1. Horrible interior D
              2. Horrible rebounding

That is the Utes only victory on Saturday, win or lose, just playing a team with as bad an RPI as we have will drop yours.

Towards the end of the game, one of the commentators said something that was pretty rad, but was also a head scratcher...I only remember one word verbatim and it was kind of funny how he said it.

                      To paraphrase:

"This game isn't really an upset. If the 25th ranked team beats the 10th ranked team at home, that is going to happen sometimes. If you beat them on the road.......BASKETBALL!!!"

Did anyone remember that? I was thinking, "wth does he mean by that?"

                      BASKETBALL!!!

I'm guessing he means that the Utes won the outright conference tournament championship.

Which facts? The Utes' final record or the outright conference championship? Both are easily verifiable.

Not sure if you are aware of this but the MWC regular season championship was a tie between BYU, Utah and New Mexico. Which was actually BYUs 3rd straight title.

I agree. And Jimmer was fouled on the drive where he ended up dishing it to Hartsock who drew the call. Jimmer is relentless. I love that about him. It is a breath of fresh air as a BYU fan to have someone like him who isn't scared to make plays. Even nicer that he makes a lot of those plays.

I thought Rose sat Jimmer too long at the end. I also didn't like our zone. We got killed on the offensive glass and from the corner whenever we went to it. Alford is a good coach. He was smart to slow down the game.

Bottom line is we didnt play quite well enough to win, but to play a ranked team on the road in 2nd the second toughest venue to play at in the MWC and have it come down to the final 30 seconds is a nice moral victory. Like I said a split was what I wnated and we are still in the drivers seat in the conference race with a 1 game lead and 2 of our toughest 3 road games out of the way.
