His free for all party in the middle of Covid violating all the rules he’d set for the state was a massive blunder. I can see how people can be legitimately upset over that. That being said, he has grown on me. I’d like to see him take a shot at the WH, but I wonder how realistic it is for a governor of California to win the presidency.

Careful Dhole. Your TDS is showing. Best to suck on a woobie and hit naptime.

Absolutely. That has been one of the worst aspects of cord cutting. Let's add YouTube TV's split-screen viewing in there. If you go to the channel with the game, the volume is reasonable. When you toggle back to the 4-screen channel, it's ridiculously loud.

With that being said, what California has and what The Terminator did was sound and unbiased way. I would vote no as well.

Plus, Newsome is an arrogant ass who is too busy trying to make a national splash to warrant any victory.

The California action is necessary for the Democrats to retake the House. This single ballot measure is costing $280 Million which could certainly be used for better purposes.

So, were you in my position how would you vote? Though I was a registered Republican for for nearly 50 years, i am so disgusted by the Republicans currently in charge that i'd love to provide a more effective check against Trump and oust the invertebrates that currently dominate the GOP. I also think what the Texas GOP did runs counter to constitutional principles and is yet another cynical bit of sleaze. But i'm voting no because i'd like to think we can better than our currently dismal state.

Oh, and Trump is mentally and morally unfit to be President.

I would love to be in the kind of political system and atmosphere where the high ground got you anywhere. But it doesn't anymore, no matter how much we want it to be that way. Maybe we can restore that in the future, but if you bring a hymnal to a gun fight, you've got no chance.

I voted for the proposition that created that independent commission. I am sad that we are proposing overriding it. I agree with you and just got my ballot today.

We have so much do-do right now because people justify shortcuts and wrongs to address the "greater wrong."

    It doesn't help.

Invalidate Shelby County v. Holder, send Texas back to preclearance, staff the DOJ Civil Rights Division with professionals, and I would agree with you.

Trump and his sycophantic cabinet is one thing, but an enabling congress that is abdicating its role as a co-equal branch of government is what is really hurting the country.

I can’t count the number of times I’ve emailed Celeste Malloy begging her to do her constitutional job. Take back the power of tariffs, of making laws not by EO, etc.

if Trump gets another GOP congress in his last two years, we are even more screwed.
Congress has passed a total of 35 bills so far in 2025. Fifteen of them were just disapproving of administrative regulations. Two were renaming things. This is the biggest do-nothing Congress in memory.
