Just think, there are probably many grieving families of dead or severely wounded US servicemen who fought in Iraq who the people THE USA supported in Libya had a hand in killing/wounding. I once had a professor who made it a point to emphasize that there is no morality in any aspect of foreign relations. Apparently Gaddafi's threat to create an African economic union, as well as sell his nation's oil to the Chinese, was enough for the USA to side with Al Qaeda and make sure Gaddafi wound up raped (the video is on the net) and murdered in the desert near his hometown.
