And the schools down there have water parks thanks to the kind folks in Houston. Thanks Moli!

It should make you feel good that Boomer Sooner might finally be able to beat one of my teams!Originally posted by Babs View PostFort Sill is currently a thorn in my side. I’m trying to pick up a single to the Army game in Norman. Normally singles are dirt cheap but the troops are snapping them up faster than I can respond to the ads.

If he speaks Spanish, the Rio Grande Valley could offer limitless oppotunities...floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, "terrorism"--depending on the POTUS.

I can tell you’re not from Texas: it’s mostly about tornadoes and terrorists. I think it’s a super smart career move if he sticks with it. These risk-management jobs are not going away anytime soon.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostYou know me well. I know you won't see this for days. (Actually, knowing you, you'll find a way to post live updates.) My son was so moved by his visit to the Lower 9th that he's majoring in emergency management and disaster prevention.

Have to disagree about that trifecta. Scratch Boz and add:Originally posted by Babs View PostI’m somewhat offended that you thought I needed a parenthetical explanation regarding former Sooner greats and extremely offended that those parens aren’t BB compliant. That said, you have excellent taste in gear. Add a Bosworth jersey and you’ll complete the trifecta.

Midren actually spoke at our Youth Football banquet at Ft. Sill in 1969.

Sounds tremendously big and tremendously wet.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostAs the steering currents weaken, this thing is expected to stall, and the stall keeps getting worse. They've bumped up the rainfall totals by a full 5 inches.
RAINFALL: Florence is expected to produce total rainfallaccumulations of 15 to 25 inches with isolated maximum amounts of
35 inches near the storm's track over portions of the Carolinas and
Mid-Atlantic States from late this week into early next week. This
rainfall would produce catastrophic flash flooding and significant
river flooding.
To be clear, we average around 45 inches per year.

After Harvey, the final rainfall tally in my area was just over 40”. It was a lot of water and overwhelmed everything. I’ve never seen anything like it and to this day when I drive through certain areas I remember seeing certain places underwater and still can’t believe it.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostAs the steering currents weaken, this thing is expected to stall, and the stall keeps getting worse. You probably have more elevation changes than Houston, which will hopefully move the water away faster, or it might just make it more destructive. Best of luck.
