  • A Little Too Early 2028 Presidential Election Thread

Let's do this thing. As we get past the midterms, we'll likely make separate repub and dem nomination threads, but it seems too early for that today.

What a disaster this would be. Hence, dems will look at it seriously.

    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Does anyone think that would be a good idea?

I think AOC is much too smart to do something like this. This is rage bait.

Surely the Dems can come up with a more electable pair than those two. Please no Newsom either. Shapiro/Whitmer/Polis/Buttigieg, etc. would be better.

Gross. Harris is damaged goods. I hate slimy newsom. Also AOC is way too extreme for the national populace, but still better than the other two.

That would be an absolute gift to Republicans.

                I'd take Newsome over Harris

Lol. They aren’t going to nominate a Jewish white male.

Nor are they going to nominate a gay guy. It's a shame. Shapiro/Buttigieg would be a very pragmatic ticket.

I likely wouldn't vote for Harris (I voted for her against Trump), AOC (dumb as a rock and wholly unqualified), and Buttigieg (not enough experience). I'm iffy on Kelly (I live executive experience) but I'd vote for him in the right circumstances. I'd definitely vote for Newsom or Shapiro although that depends on who the GOP puts up as well.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
