Smoked Turkey from a good bbq place is pretty great.

A well-cooked turkey is delicious. But they are huge birds so people don't bother except for on special occasions. On a normal day you can buy a delicious rotisserie chicken from Coscto/Sam's that is only $5.

      Look forward to dinner today.

We do Honey Ham. And get a very small chicken from Sam’s. But there is only 3 of us now.

We are out of state visiting extended family. They cooked the turkey in the oven. Yesterday. So there would be room in the oven for other things today.

A part of me actually respects that. No wasted effort trying to salvage it. Just focus on the rolls.

Does no one remember turkey bacon and brie sandwiches the other 364 days of the year?!? Come on. I'd much rather have that than a chicken sandwich.

My wife hates turkey, but I like the cold leftovers more than anything else, so we are doing a turkey and Jeff's foolproof ribs along with the rest of the traditional fare. There is going to be a lot of leftover meat, since it is just us and my folks. No complaints here. I did learn that the recommended 180 for the smoke portion of the ribs is too low for my poor man's smoker, gas grill with a wood box. I need more heat to get the wood chips in the box to start to smoke. I am already in the wrapped phase, so I will have to try something else next time.

Turkey lasted a week in my household of 6-boys. Mayo-Turkey sandwiches

“Pearl-clutching” is an expression used to describe someone acting shocked, offended, or morally outraged in an exaggerated or overly dramatic way, often about something others see as minor or harmless.

I think that definition is what everyone knows. Why would it make one’s balls sore?

Agree. Turkey is great a great sandwich meat. As a feature meet in entree, it’s way down the list.

Bland, unremarkable, doesn’t even try to introduce other competing flavors. Sounds about right.

For the last couple of years, I've had the responsibility of cooking at least 2 turkeys before transporting them 40 minutes to Dad's house. Today, we're feeding 24 people. Dad also grabbed a ham. For you turkey haters, we have never had leftover turkey.
