Most citizens there understand the issue is complex, we need the workforce from Mexico, and that 99% of immigrants crossing are the people you want living next door.
Oh that's probably because you haven't assimilated the personalities of Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson just yet. We're 30% latino here in AZ and the migrants without documents work multiple jobs at low wages and are tax payers that aren't eligible for social security. So by my calculation, the 'illegals' are keeping Social Security afloat and lettuce at a good margin for McDonald's. Also keeping crime down by the percentages, since U.S. citizens are 3x as likely to commit a felony. They are very burdensome, though, I'm sure. I just have never heard a good reason why that might be.

Yes, it was a stunt but it also made a great point.
Unless illegals are streaming in from Georgia or Alabama, Florida is not a border state. DeSanits is a cancer and not a benign cancer. It disappoints me that you would defend him.

Those people, many of whom were seeking asylum, were tricked and outrightly deceived. Someone who facilitates that lacks morals, and hasn't embraced the concepts contained in the New Testament, which they'd love to force everyone to read.

For this discussion, I consider the states in the Gulf of Mexico border states.

            I'm ok with your disappointment.

So no qualms at all about lying to them?

Do they all pay taxes? It seems that if they are here illegally, without the proper work authorizations and without a social security number (or equivalent), they aren't likely to get jobs that require withholding of taxes. Maybe they do and I just don't know how it works. Of course, they are paying local sales tax on things they buy. I don't see that keeping social security afloat.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Many pay w a TIN, which you don't need much to obtain. I just represented a guy (and won his case cough cough) this morning who has been here since 2004 with nothing who has paid taxes every year since 2004. They all pay sales tax, gas tax, etc. though, like you pointed out.

Undocumented workers are keeping social security afloat?? You should run those numbers again.

Some might but the amount they pay in is probably minuscule compared to the American workforce.
