I think part of the point is that most of these asylum seekers are not really seeking asylum. They want a better life by living in the United States. They cross through several countries and through some of the most treacherous land in the world to come here. They are taking advantage of our asylum laws and the fact the process is overwhelmed.

Exactly. I suspect only a tiny fraction of these people are legit asylum seekers.

And, nevertheless, the Dems have use most of the FEMA funds giving them better accommodations than citizens suffering hurricane destruction. $750 and they have to wait at least 10 days to receive it… what happened to all those cash credit cards?

Hey, does any have the address to chrisrenrut‘s house? Our Gov is wondering where to send the next bus load of immigrants that are “seeking asylum”.

I have zero clue about how percentage of migrants are true asylum seekers by whatever definition we want to use. I would just say that given the fact they are risking their lives to get here it’s probably more than a tiny fraction.

What was that about not using FEMA funds for immigrants?

So why not get asylum in one of the many countries they cross? Why not stay in Costa Rica or Mexico?

Yeah, it is risking their lives when the Harris/Biden administration flies on the tax payers’ dime immigrates in on commercial flights… over 500,000:

that food in coach can kill you!

they should be flying them first class! At least they are putting them up in nice hotels.

I’m not saying the grass isn’t greener on the other side of the border. But if the journey is as dangerous as you implied, most of them aren’t making it solely for an economic benefit.

So you clearly didn’t read the full tweet I posted. Yes, FEMA controls migrant relief funds as well, in a separate fund. Both of which are controlled by congress. But by all means, keep believing, umm, Insurrection Barbie.

Actually, that shows that the reason is almost entirely for economic benefit.

Because they don't want to? Why should they stop in an unsafe country ? Or one without As good of safe conditions

They want better safety and opportunity
