You mean I'm not the only one this happens to?Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostFine, as long as you deduct a comparable amount for the wind-aided downhill return. In contrast, I am vexed by winds that invariably shift so that I'm pedaling into a constant headwind; you don't hear me whining, much.
I may be small, but I'm slow.

Whatever. He ran the other half downhill with the wind at his back. I thing he should have to round down to 6.Originally posted by Teenage Dirtbag View PostI agree. Go ahead and round that up to 6.30 miles. You earned it!sigpic

You shouldn't follow other runners so closely, Jeff.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostFirst half was up the canyon with a stiff wind in my face.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I think I want in on this...
What do I do? Do I have to pick a team? Because I do more on a bike than my 1 mile of running three days a week will probably do.
And this will keep me on task, as I am typically motivated by commitments but not by much else.

Just pick a team, whatever activity you do counts toward your team.Originally posted by The_Tick View PostI think I want in on this...

I'm not trying to influence your decision, but please know that the runner's team is full of God-fearing family types who love freedom. The cyclers team is full of criminals and whores. I trust you to do the right thing.

I guess credit of a kind is due any time a man perseveres despite the presence of anything stiff in his face.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostRan 6.25 miles this morning. First half was up the canyon with a stiff wind in my face. I should get extra credit for that.
By the way, whoever I need to say this to: PLEASE SIGN ME UP WITH THE RUNNERS.

It was 110 degrees today, no way I'm running. I'm going to have to go way early in the morning to avoid heatstroke. I don't know how some of you (I'm talking to you Arch) desert dwellers can exercise in these temps. We only get them a couple of weeks at a time and then get back to just regular old hot weather.

My wife decided to bail out and me and go to a movie with her sisters, so I went running at 9:30 tonight. It was still pretty warm, but tolerable. I got a really good 4 miler in for my training program, then did a slow 1 mile cooldown. Total of 5.10 miles.
