Don't listen to Babs. I like to hear the workout reports. I find it motivating."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

If anyone wants me on their team, my 400 lb. ass hiked this trail today, holding a 3-year-old "Baby-Steps" Williams's hand the whole way.

8.12 miles today, the last mile and a half of which was a cooldown.
Team, today starts my rest week, and as much as I'd like to give you some extra miles, the last time I pushed it harder than I should have bluegoose ended up being the luckiest guy this side of Bill Clinton at a nymphomaniac convention. So only some reduced mileage from me until Saturday.Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

5k fun run this morning. 23:55 - 7:43 pace.
Edit: Nikuman, an old high school friend was up from Houston and ran the race this morning. He runs a 20:40 to 21:10 5k at sea level and he ran a 23:20 today at 4,000 ft. Thought you'd be interested in the reference for elevation.Last edited by cowboy; 07-25-2009, 07:07 AM.sigpic

5.7 mi run last night on a full stomach. That wasn't such a good idea."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Good idea (really). Don't do anything that you'll regret and will set you back again.Originally posted by nikuman View PostTeam, today starts my rest week, and as much as I'd like to give you some extra miles, the last time I pushed it harder than I should have bluegoose ended up being the luckiest guy this side of Bill Clinton at a nymphomaniac convention. This is also my running recovery week coming up. I'll need it after this mornings run, especially after almost 2 hours of volleyball with Steelblue at the church last night. 16.8 miles. Just shy of my goal of 17, but i didn't feel like running laps around my car at the parking lot.

That is interesting. How long was he up at that elevation - I hear you get acclimated after a week, but I wouldn't think that would mean your times would be equal.Originally posted by cowboy View Post5k fun run this morning. 23:55 - 7:43 pace.

Don't I know it. I swore I'd never push it again after that injury, not even in the name of smack.Originally posted by bluegoose View PostGood idea (really). Don't do anything that you'll regret and will set you back again.Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.
