I think I'd like to hear that story.

I followed him on Twitter and one day he made an announcement that he and someone were selling a new recipe book with recipes designed to be compatible with the Obesity Code. About this same time he was marketing teas or something to help with IF. I replied to his tweet and said:

"Well, here it comes. The racket phase."

        He immediately blocked me. Lol.

          • I am usually on a modified IF, not because I think there is some sort of IF magic, but because it is the easiest way for me to restrict my caloric intake below what I would like to eat (roughly 5K calories per day would be my ideal).

When I am in a strict period, I will generally skip breakfast. For lunch, something like a bowl of plain oatmeal and a banana is typical. Then I will have a pretty decent dinner. For me it is just personal preference. I would rather have one big meal then 2-3 small ones.

I also have a couple of snacks a day. A handful of nuts, and maybe some veggies (Fresh Market has these little artichoke or asparagus or cauliflower packets that I like).

I also tend to eat a lot more on weekends, so like I say, very modified IF.

I'm currently at a BMI (depending on the day) of 24-25, so I am in a strict phase until I lose 5 pounds or so.

Also, IF was MUCH easier when I was in the office 3-4 days a week.

            • One of my favorite nutrition follows on Twitter is BYU prof Benjamin Bikman. He focuses a lot on chronic disease and benefits of high-fat diets and the stuff he posts seems to be pretty grounded in research. Except the main reason I like him is that he clearly hates Utah Utes and is always RT'ing or liking posts by the WVU yokels and Swaim. Cracks me up.

When you get the urge for this, instead eat a Kind bar with 56% cashews and dried cherries and the rest dark chocolate. 170 calories. That may scratch the itch. It does for me.

I hit -90 pounds this morning; I lifted weights, did 400m sprints (with air squats in between) and played three pickleball matches yesterday, so water weight is definitely a factor with that number, but I'm pumped regardless.
Good for you eliminating refined sugar. But I think you're losing that much weight because of the simple arithmetic of 2500-2800 calories in and 4000-5000 calories out.

Thanks. I'll give these a try. I do have a particular weakness for all things Oreo though.
