    Endurance Sports Nutrition

I'm reading a Matt Fitzgerald book now that goes into marathon and half- nutrition and it's been a good read. The book breaks down training diets, pre-race, race and recovery nutrition and it's a lot more than I've thought about as a noob runner. He recommends an energy gel a minute or two before the start, Tylenol 30-60 minutes prior to the run, to dull the thought of pain during the run, not the actual pain. He also recommends Gatorade at every aid station, even if it's just 4 ounces.

He also has another book, Racing Weight, that he subtly plugs in the book above. It's more focused on attaining your best weight in any endurance sport -- running, cycling, swimming, rowing, xcountry skiing.

(btw, is there a better way to post an Amazon link?)
I have nothing else to say at this time.
