My daughter and I ran a 5k today at Thanksgiving Point. Man, that race is crowded. It is tough to maintain any pace because you are dodging other runners. I guess that probably happens in a lot of race.
I’ve been sick off and on the last couple of weeks. My sinuses have been terrible and I’ve been pretty lethargic. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to run today.
I took it pretty easy as I didn’t want to pass out not feeling well. I ran with my daughter the whole way. She hasn’t been training much so it worked out. I had been running about 2-4 mile twice a week until the last couple of weeks.
Our pace improved the entire race. Our average was about a 10.40 mile. I’m happy with it. I felt pretty good and strong the whole time. Mostly just happy I was well enough to run.

Nice job!"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
