Heck, you may well be the closest including Utah-based CSers. The Oquirrh Mountain temple is about a mile from my house as the crow files, 2.2 miles by car because of the streets. Less than a mile is really, really close.

I think I'll be 1/3 mile away from the Lindon Temple as the crow flies. I'll have to look a little closer.

Looks like before long I may well be the non Utah-based CSer who lives closest to a temple! Charlotte temple announced today and what do you know, it is literally 3/5ths of a mile from my home.

When we moved here, we drove 40 minutes to church, now we will have a temple less than a mile away. Such is the power of missionary work! carpetbagging Yankee transplants!

I pulled up Google Maps to measure it. We attend our Stake Center, .62 miles away. We're almost at the Eastern border of our stake. The Lindon Temple is .34 miles away. What surprised me the most was that there are no less than eight churches closer to us than the one we attend. And we pass a ninth chapel on our way to church. Only in Orem.

Parrothead's a good guy and all, but he is a good quarter mile further from the temple than I am.

We can see our Stake center's steeple from our house. It is 12986 ft (.24 miles) away as the crow flies. 0.9 miles by car. 5.8 miles away from our current temple (Mt. Timp). 4.92 Miles to the Saratoga Springs temple opening up soon. So Clark you have me beat, even being in Utah.

.7 miles away from the Rexburg Temple, of course in some ways Rexburg is more Utah than most of Utah anymore. When they get the second one built I'll have two within 3 miles.

I used to live .8 miles by car from the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. So, I used to be the closest for sure.

I'm now 4.4 miles from the Oquirrh Mountain temple by car and probably 2 miles by crow.

I guess here is the important question is there a PoGo gym there? The Oquirrh Mountain temple has 2 gyms, so clearly it would be a better temple than one with 0 or 1 gym.
