"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

does the movie look "grainy" now? It seems like it's time for a refresh. Clueless kind of looks like the gal in the newer movie...unfortunately, she's an avid wine drinker and wouldn't qualify for a recommend.

That's why when I attend the temple I prefer to do it by sitting on my couch and watching The Tree of Life.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

That's funny. I thought the same. And I was enjoying a great malbec at the time. you might be able to post from the temple, but you can't drink a malbec!

I did post from the waiting area just outside the baptistry once. It's inside the temple, but I'm not sure if it counts.
              I'm like LeBron James.

Granted I was only in the dressing area. I wouldn't dare bring my phone into the endowment room.

I assumed as much. You win, however. Dressing room > waiting room outside the baptistry. At least you have to have a recommend to get to where you were. You could be a pot-smoking three year old and be allowed to go where I was.

Looks like before long I may well be the non Utah-based CSer who lives closest to a temple! Charlotte temple announced today and what do you know, it is literally 3/5ths of a mile from my home.

When we moved here, we drove 40 minutes to church, now we will have a temple less than a mile away. Such is the power of missionary work! carpetbagging Yankee transplants!

When can I expect the selling price of my home to double?

Are you still driving 40 minutes to church?
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

Nope. a few years back they built a new chapel 8 minutes away from us, a mile or two away from where the new temple will be

Wrong thread. Wait until the temple is built and then use this thread.

Heck, you may well be the closest including Utah-based CSers. The Oquirrh Mountain temple is about a mile from my house as the crow files, 2.2 miles by car because of the streets. Less than a mile is really, really close.
