  • DDP and DMD blended in my mug. Every. Single. Morning.

I can cross over to the zeros as well, but I do prefer the original diet, including diet cokes.

My wife drinks caffeinated soda to help with migraines, but won't after 4PM, because it will keep her up at night. I have no problem falling asleep right after consuming one.

So, no coffee, no Coke. I think all the varieties taste disgusting. Dr. Pepper is the only thing close to a cola that is consumable.

I'll mostly stick with water, with some milk or fruit juice.

It's funny, I have a business trip coming up and a co-worker is planning a dinner and was asking about dietary restrictions. I told her, I eat and like everything, but don't drink anything.
I've probably shared this here before, but while I was attending BYU, my brother-in-law (wife's brother) entered the MTC. He wrote saying that he was getting headaches - perhaps because of withdrawals from the lack of Mountain Dew. His mother sent him Excederin.

We same-day shipped him a care package including a case of Dew.

The day of his departure, we were allowed to see him off at the MTC. He introduced us to his MTC district as "the ones who sent the Mountain Dew" and we received much gratitude.

You are a good person. While in the mtc I asked former girlfriend for a Dr Pepper. She sent me a bell pepper with a paper stethoscope.

I didn't talk to her for 25 years.

I was introduced to it by the Tuba section leader my freshman year. Shifted from sugared to diet after about 10 years, but that is my go to.

Never heard of this. I should try it.

Sidenote: maybe I already drank so much diet soda that caffeine was already a big part of my life but the "wakes you up" and "habit forming" part of coffee is highly overrated. I drink it because I like the taste, I like sitting around with friends and family or co-workers and shooting the shit over it in the mornings. But the other stuff gets a big meh. I suspect many of you with your diet soda consumption would have similar feelings as far as coffee being extra stimulating or habit forming. Brigham knew what was up when he included it in his supplies on the trek west.
I didn't understand this for a long time. My 2-3 diet coke/day habit was done strictly for pharmacologic purposes. But once I started drinking coffee, there was an implied take a break or talk to a colleague aspect to it. It's not just the caffeine that helps you get through the day.

                          • I drink DMD - one or two 1/2 ltr bottles a day - started when I was working graves.. Don't like Colas or Dr. Pepper. I don't like the smell or taste of coffee (my grandmother used to let us have a sip once and a while when Mom and Dad weren't around)

My favorite drink is lemonade mixed with sprite, about half and half. Now that I am diabetic, Crystal Lite with smith's lemon flavored carbonated water

I may be small, but I'm slow.

Are you still walking 16 miles/day?

                              • Love the smell of hot liquid coffee, but not the taste. But I do love the taste of coffee in ice cream.

My favorite soda is to mix about 2/3 diet and 1/3 regular Mt Dew. Drinking just regular Mt Dew seems to sugary now.

Copelius’ DP/MD mix sounds awful. But it might be one of those things where an odd combination works. I may try it sometime.
