My stake has an annual High Priest Corn Feed (yes the actual title) every fall. I'm going to pull out that verse from the WOW and try and get them to go all in and serve Pepsi this year.

Judging by the numbers of "relief society arms" I see in any given ward, I'd say that we Mormons are quite the corn fed people.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

It's always bugged me in Genesis 41, how Joseph interprets Pharaoh's dream about the 7 cows and the 7 "ears of corn". "Corn" was the generic word for grain in King James' early 17th century. Obviously the ancient Egyptians weren't eating maize. But that's not what I saw in the coloring pages teacher set down for me.

I don't own a horse, but I don't think a horse would like to eat nachos.

          cheers.

No idea.... but we bought our fat cat food that didn't have corn in it and she lost all her excess weight in about two months. I don't really understand how pet food manufacturers can claim that grain-based food is healthy for carnivores.

That was positively grapevinian. Well done!

yeah, I don't think too many Mormons really obey the WOW as far as 'all things in moderation' are concerned.
