I was going to rib you about this, but on second thought as this site grows there will continually be new ward members here to preach this particular gospel too. So, preach on brother.

Better cankles than thankles, if you know what I mean.

It happens all the time in our ward, but only with investigators or newer members. I don't think anyone ever says anything about it, but over time they all convert (pun intended) to dresses or skirts. In all honesty, I think they just decide to go with the flow.

As for ties, my attitude is that wearing one to church won't kill anyone but if it's a big deal to you don't wear one, just come to church and be with us. If we need you to pass the sacrament you'll have to slip one on - we have a few decent ties in the clerk's office for that very purpose.

We have one lady in our ward who does, but she either comes or goes to Walmart for work.

I once wore some linen pants to the temple to do a session... It was after work... I don't think the temple workers appreciated it. I got some "looks". Stuff like that only makes me want to do it more.

I think the culture of dresses is dumb.

Are pantsuits really any more comfortable than dresses? If not, then what's the point? A statement?
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Pants and working outside of the home?!?!?!!?

              Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

As with most church fashions, I have little faith in the membership to appropriately wear pantsuits. A good pantsuit on somebody who knows how to wear it (and what to wear) is fantastic and, dare I say, sexy and professional.

A bad one on somebody who is clueless is an abomination that Sodom and Gomorrah couldn't even dream of.
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

Nothing says "prospective elder" like a pantsuit at church.
We all trust our own unorthodoxies.

I am being sincere when I say that this phrase needs to be added to the Young Women Values.
Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...

None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.

I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

I'm not sure where you guys go to church but women who wear dresses are in the minority in my ward. Most women wear skirts and some even wear those hose/stockings with crazy/funky designs on them. Lots of boots being worn too, the kind that almost go up to the knee.

It's about time the floor length dresses with floral patterns got phased out.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking of wearing a kilt next week.
