MomTok and Secret Lives or Mormon Wives blowing up right now. The fun right now has former BYU QB, Brett Engeman front and center.

We finally know what fruity pebbles are

I wonder why it only has a 6.9 on IMDB? Hmm...
Racial politics plays a role, so I imagine that has some people (stupidly IMO) polarized.

Definitely recommend it for anyone that likes the gritty crime drama genre.

I told her he's great in that as well, although he's over-the-top crude, including whacking off in front a large picture window. She'll pass.

Back to A Real Pain, it was fascinating to watch both characters deal with the range of emotions that arise from visiting a concentration camp and home of one's ancestors. Our recent visit to Auschwitz was one of the most emotional experiences of our lives, perhaps even moreso than the American Cemetery at Normandy. As we stood by ourselves beneath the "Arbeit Macht Frei" arch at the camp's entrance,.I told the missus we should have a picture taken of us jumping and kicking our legs up, with outstretched arms, as so many do (very tritely) in front of famous places. I thought it was obvious I was more than a little facetious, but she was not amused. Still, an example of the huge range of thoughts one has in such a tragic place, and which the film's characters were working through.
Jesse Eisenberg wrote and directed the movie and his orginal plan was for him to play the Benji character himself. Then he spent some time with Kieran and decided he would be perfect for the role. Ended up being a brilliant decision as Kieran hit it out of the park and Jesse was equally good as the uptight OCD cousin.

The cinematography was equally good. I want to go to Poland now.

I caught one year of the late 80's (88-89) at BYU and it was an entirely different experience than my time post-mission in the 90's. Not sure what changed and why so fast, but it felt like I went to two different schools. John Hall had an abundance of alcohol (it was a JV athlete dorm largely with a few of us randos sprinkled in)on weekends and nobody seemed the wiser. Jimmy was likely able to do anything he wanted to do without many repercussions during his days.

The Mrs. and I recently watched the four available seasons of Only Murders in the Building. Very enjoyable.

My wife then wanted to watch The Patient (with Steve Carrell, but definitely not a comedy). I liked the series. My wife wasn't a big fan of the violent scenes.

The word would have been a better place had Jimmy Mac decided to go to Utah.

I realize that as a fan of BYU's rival that I should hate Jim McMahon, but I just can't bring myself to hate him.
