My wife and I tried to get into this, but bailed after a few episodes. May need to try again at some point.

We watched season 1 and have not gone back to it. Not because season 1 sucked we just have not really wanted to yet. I think my wife’s opinion was that since season 1 was the end of the book, what is the point? The book’s ending was left intentionally ambiguous I guess. I never read it but that was her opinion.
Handmaid's Tale may be the best television I've ever watched. Elizabeth Moss absolutely kills the role of June every damn episode. Season 4 is being released one episode per week right now, and S4:3 may be the best episode of any show I've ever watched.
cant overcome the irony of elizabeth moss, known scientologist, starring in handmaids tale

Handmaid's Tale has declined in quality with each passing season. Season 1 was excellent television (no coincidence that it's the only season covered by the novel) but this is now the 4th season of constantly viewing torture with very little hope for the character's who endure it. I'm realizing I should've tapped after season 1. This season has a Walking Dead vibe, but not the good Walking Dead, the post Glenn's clubbing Walking Dead.
I read the book. It didn't give me any desire to watch the series. It was ok, just not my cup of tea. I definitely wouldn't be interested in watching the story beyond the end of the book.

I think there was a drop off in season 2. But season 3 was solid. Unfortunately, 4:4 and 4:5 have been let downs after 4: 3.
Just caught up on Only Murders In the Building- a comedy/mystery starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. They're about 5 episodes in and it's fantastic. Makes me crazy that there haven't been non-stop television series for the last 40 years with Steve Martin-- he's so great.

If you haven't yet, check out Reservation Dogs. It's a show about a bunch of Native American kids on a reservation in Oklahoma and was created/written by Taika Waititi. Very well done and quite endearing. The acting from the kids is pretty good.
Speaking of Taika, What We Do in the Shadows is back for Season 3 and he has a cameo in the first episode. It's fantastic, as always.

I've watched the first two episodes. So good. Martin and Short are fantastic, and Selena Gomez is surprisingly good. I think this is the first show I've seen her in since the wizards of waverly place.

I have been wanting to watch this. I haven't watched a show in about 3 months, hopefully now that 2 kids are gone, that can start again.
