Having grown up in Northern Arizona and many of my friends and their fathers spend the summer as a member of our local Hotshot crews. I am excited to see this movie. One of those who perished was on the Payson Hotshot Crew before joining the Granite Mountain Hotshot crew. Another was a member of the church and local school teacher in Prescott (Andrew Ashcroft).
It has always been considered an honor if you were a member of the Hotshots team in your local town. The heat of those Arizona summers and leaving at any moment to go fight fires all across the west. They would send out crew to Utah, Colorado, California. Anywhere they were needed aside from Arizona.
Still remember this tragedy as it hit close to home.
Knowing Josh Brolin will be in it, is enough for me to know it will be good.
