(if you haven't watched Supernatural, seasons 1-7 are on Netflix and season 8 ended yesterday, and the whole thing can be bought on iTunes or Amazon.com (streaming). The first few episodes in the first season were a bit dark, but after that they toned it down just enough that it's right about the level of X-Files in terms of intensity and violence, except for the "Supernatural Splatter" of blood that happens at the beginning of almost every episode, and an occasional beheading of some mythical creature. If you like Walking Dead and/or X-Files, this one is a must-watch - and I've never seen anyone comment on it here, except me a month or two ago. My wife and I give if four thumbs up.).
