Ole Mr. Good Voice himself wrote about the irony involved in the song God Part II when he said:

I don't believe in excess - success is to give
I don't believe in riches but you should see where I live

    See? It is ironic.

War, Unforgettable and Joshua really are great complete albums.

The current criticisms of U2 and Bono specifically are well documented, but those three albums were transformative pop. To those who weren't there, the frame of reference is missed - when comparing what U2 produced against the then landscape of popular music.

Some guy I play basketball with in the mornings went to the U2 concert in Vegas last weekend. He claims he sat next to Colin Cowherd at the concert. I was thinking, psshhhh! they played east coast dates, why would he come here (yes, I know he lived here).

On the radio this morning, Bono mentioned how he was in Vegas last weekend for the U2 concert. Huh. Anyway, I'd venture that U2's decline is probably inversely correlated to Colin Cowherd's rise in popularity.

    Reading wikipedia gain are you?

bonavox. that was the name of the heargin aid shop. someone called bono bono vox. but he kept it becasue he liked that it meant good voice. Is it a boast? I guess you're right, from such a shy, humble man it is hard to believe he would mean it that way.

Wouldn't you feel like a total ass saying "Hey, The Edge, we need to do another take on this song, let's try to slow things down a touch."
