I hope it was worth the thrill he got of posting the photos online.

I found a box like that once. Full of little comics from bubble gum.

Don't forget the fact that he advertise the world, including the previous owners of the property, that he found $45,000 cash.

Yeah, $45,000 in the early 50's would be like $500,000 today. I wonder if a former owner of that home died a horrible death for embezzling large sums of money from his mafia boss.

Looks like a simple plan. What could go wrong?

This is more of something to look at than read, although there are words in it.

A 35 year old guy on imgur finds an old lunchbox hidden in the basement ceiling of his 1940s era house while remodeling....

Glad to hear it, on all accounts.

That's why this letter, written by a young husband to the caregivers during his wife's final week of life, especially resonated with me. I understand it's since been published in the New York Times and featured on national news programs, so perhaps you've read it. But if you haven't, do so. Now.

There doesn't seem to be any long article telling the story, probably because it's not done, but an FSU law professor was murdered in his driveway by two men connected to his wife's brother-- his wife was also a law professor. He and his wife were going through a divorce and fighting for custody of the children. So far, no direct connection has been made between the wife and the brother, so I suppose the brother may have acted on his own.
