I found this article interesting enough that I saved a copy onto my hard drive years ago for reference.

"This April 1980 Washington Monthly cover story on the problems and progress of NASA's space shuttle program was written one year before Columbia's first launch in 1981."

    Beam Me Out Of This Death Trap, Scotty - 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... Goodbye, Columbia

iPhone is ten years old today

In honor of the iPhone being ten years old today, you should read this article:
    https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2017...hanged-gaming/

It has a bunch of links to other well written iPhone articles if you're interested in that.
    Especially this one: https://arstechnica.com/apple/2017/0...o-apple-store/

Came across an old piece by E.B. White - "Death of a Pig":

    https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine...th-pig/309203/

He was a wonderful writer. In terms of material and quality reminds me of Flannery O'Connor's "Living with a Peacock":

Great to read pieces by writers so in command of their work.

Three part documentary on HBO, really well done. Highly recommend.

You beat me to it. If anything, things have gotten worse, not better. The internet and social media fuel this.
