Have any of you tried the Beckett and Simonon brand?

This company takes your order and then makes the shoes in Colombia. I have a friend who loves them, and I'm thinking I'll give them a shot for a pair of boots. They usually have some sort of deal going.

I have ordered a number of different items from Beckett Simonon and I love ALL of them. I have 3 pairs of leather sneakers (Reid), one pair of oxfords (Dean), one laptop briefcase bag (Sullivan) and one duffel bag (Domingo). They are all of excellent quality and well worth the wait for them to make them. The shoes are all super comfortable and the bags are durable and made from very high quality leather. I just got a compliment on my briefcase/bag yesterday.

There seems to be a lot of options for new shoes on ebay. What is the general rule for "make an offer"? I would assume 80-90% of the asking price.

Go halfsies and see what they do. I think a lot are trying to dump and they do make back some of their margins on shipping, so research what retail would be, what wholesale would be, and what shipping would be to find your sweet spot.

I started looking at all of my dress shoes, and I realized that they are pretty much all size 9. Here I was thinking a few brands were running small, but since I'm a 9 in at least 3 different brands, I guess I really am just a size 9 in dress shoes. Athletic shoes are always 10 across all of the major brands. Strange.

Anyway, hopefully you just ordered what your normal "dress shoe" size was. Otherwise you should be able to do an exchange for size, regardless if the price has changed.
