I think we just had an earthquake........

The whole house started to shake, lights flickered. Only lasted a few seconds but pretty good size.

If not an earthquake, then...alien lifeform mother ship flying past your neighbor's house to obtain DNA samples and run tests in preparation for taking over the world?

My neighbors are posting about it on facebook now. We must be right in the center of it. My parents in PG didn't feel anything either.

The time recorded for this is earlier than your post:

Felt it big time! Right under our home. Heard a sound like a rushing huge windstorm, the wow! Our whole house rolled right under us...all the pictures started shaking, and I swear it threw me back in the couch. Cats totally freaked out and randomly ran for cover.

            Weird!

Didn't feel a thing. 2.5? That doesn't seem big enough to feel.

Junkie and Borg had to be right on top of it, as a 2.5 goes unnoticed if one is more than a few miles away. I'm glad I don't live in the high risk earthquake area that is Utah.

The epicenter is right below our neighborhood. Pretty weird stuff. Had about a 3 second warning...the sound of a big approaching windstorm. My wife and I looked at each other like "what is that sound?"...then a loud "BOOM"...and the house rolled frome one side to the other. Pictures shook on the walls, etc.

Took us a couple seconds to realize what was happening. That was the first time I ever experience an earthquake.

Exactly what happened with us, we thought it was a windstorm as well.

Looking at the map it was pretty much centered in our neighborhood.

it was also very shallow. SO the waves would go pretty much straight up. You were just lucky to be there.
