Yes. There's so many exciting efforts in such a variety of fields. A few of note:

Google's Deep Mind has some incredible projects. Weather forecasting, chip design, world model development, animal communication, and a ton of other things.

Recursion Pharmaceuticals out of SLC is combining AI, automation, and experimental biology to "decode biology" and industrialize the process of developing new treatments.

The UU is building out a massive AI ecosystem for cancer and mental health research.

Those last 2 endeavors are the types that I'm most interested in. Almost all of the new chemotherapy drugs are targeted to specific proteins. This field was already exploding; AI will accelerate production of even more targeted drugs.

Not sure what that's going to do to the price of drugs. Oh wait, I do know. They are going to continue to rise. But it's exciting nonetheless.
