  • Hello from the Tar Heel State!

As above, born and raised and still live in the Tar Heel State. And as my username suggests, I am a teacher; teaching psychology right now but also teach sociology if my schedule permits it. How did I become a fan you say? Well first off, will admit that I watch Cougar football more than their other sports, but do somewhat keep up with the other ones. A friend of mine in high school's parents were both graduates of BYU and always wore the gear, talked about the games, etc and I started watching the games with them when we could catch them on tv and/or radio and been a fan since. Favorite all time player mainly because he was the first QB I really saw for the Cougars haha is John Beck.

If interested, I did my undergrad at a small D2 college(Who are awful at football smh) and my master's degree through UMBC. Also, admittedly a huge Tar Heel basketball fan hope that's ok haha; oddly though don't really care about their other sports. Browns are my NFL team and also an avid follower of soccer (AFC Bournemouth and Karlsruher SC teams I support).

Hope to contribute here and hope to get to a game at some point, been a wish of mine for a long time. Never thought I would see the day we would be in a big conference, but here we are!

    Thanks, and let's go Cougars!

That's awesome friend! Love teaching it and just tell your wife that Erikson is the best ever in the field haha

Yeah a lot of my family and friends are Panthers fans, but my brother and I have been Browns fans since we were young; as most things go with kids, we just loved their uniforms haha, the dawg pound and all that, and been fans since. We shall see how this season goes!

Welcome professor! We've had our share of pompous educators in their ivory towers, so be forewarned!

Love the avatar Prof. And I have to say I’m excited for a Cougar fan with a non-traditional background. As they say, there are many roads that lead to Lavell Edwards Stadium.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Awesome. My daughter went to school in WS so I have spent a decent amount of time there.

Welcome! NC is on eof the few states I've never been to, which is weird because I lived several months at Fort Lee, VA--or whatever it's called these days.
