Yeah! We're completely unlike those other guys, who took a taxpayer-funded trip to Israel. WE are taking a taxpayer-funded trip to the West Bank! Totally different!

It would be nice to see Labor represented in the orientation process.

      • When was the last time an incoming Rep. has gotten this much attention? Serious question. The only one I can think of is Sunny Bono but he was a celebrity beforehand. Tom Osborn never got this much attention. I'm sure I'm overlooking someone.

Yeah. I did think of him but put him in the Tom Osborn category.

She has received so much attention because she won without Super PAC money. Something that only AOC and a handful of other elected representatives (6?) have managed to do since Citizens United legalized political corruption.

Now as to why YOU haven't personally paid much attention to AOC, Rashida Tlaib, Ro Khanna, Raul Grijalva, Ilhan Omar, and Pramila Jayapal.... I dunno. But you should start paying attention. Viva la revolucion! Drain the swamp!

She won in a district where the Democrats have more than 80% of the registered voters. The GOP candidate didn't even run. She receives attention because she is young, somewhat attractive and says outrageous things. She is a poor (wo)man's Trump. She is the Democratic answer to Trump in style and outlandish, lack of attention to details or real facts. She appeals to those who don't know how government functions and who are blithering idiots on economic issues.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Of course, she had to defeat Crowley (who could have been the speaker of the house) first. Maybe she won because folks are feed up with all the asshats in congress these days... wow, congress has a whole 12% approval rating.

I hope her and Bernie run on the same ticket. Do you have to be 35 to run for vice president? Maybe Drumpf could sign an executive order to let her run.

So a new batch of voters crop up and are tired of typical political speech. She also used social media effectively whereas Crowley skipped a town meeting. Crowley did everything wrong. Too bad as I would rather have Crowley than this malicious piece of shit.

Yes. The 12th Amendment specifically says that no one who is Constitutionally ineligible to be President can be Vice President.

Krugman is a fucking socialist and a panderer for the far left. Remember his economics focused on the labor curve and agglomeration, not upon macro-economics. I've used up my ten free articles, but him saying she knows a lot about tax policy makes me laugh. I bet Shumer wrote the article for Krugie.

It cracks me up when they say that the USA had its highest marginal top tax rate in the 50s and still had incredible growth as if we are somehow in a similar period now The two periods are not even close to relatable. In the 50s the USA was coming out of the war as well as a decades long depression and the dynamics of the economy had changed so dramatically that almost nothing could have stopped the necessary growth.

Granted, I’m not opposed to a higher marginal tax rate on income above $10mm but the arguments being made for it are dumb. And AOC is not smart just because she can parrot lines that Krugman and his friends are feeding her.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

That article is a load of crap. It starts out by repeating the lie that people were upset by the dancing video and goes down from there.

I was upset by the dancing video. Why didn't she do any breakdancing?
