    Probably.

      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I was a paperboy twice growing up. First with the DesNews, which was annoying since it was an afternoon paper back then and I'd have to deliver papers before going to play. Then I later took on the SLTrib, which sucked because I had to wake up at 5:00 every morning (even in summer), but the SLTrib subscribers tipped better. However, riding my bike in teh snow with a shoulder bag full in front and back with papers was not easy.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

If you want to see how pornographic we have become with these shootings, check out this shit. I turned it off as soon as the girl said her friend died when I was watching it live, but now, inspecting it not as a viewer, but as a critic, notice how they cut straight to her face and show her suffering.

Right then and there they should've stopped the interview and apologized for the question. There is no way, given that the number of dead hasn't increased since yesterday, that they didn't know that her friend was dead. No producer is not going to know that. Maybe Savannah didn't know and they had her ask, but someone, somewhere, in the drivers seat of that show, knew, and it makes all that human suffering pornography of violence.

The thought of figuring out how to raise my kids in Costa Rica grows stronger all the time.

They don't get The Today Show in Costa Rica?

Ha! The Today Show is still going strong with Savannah, Hoda, and Al Roker. I was wrong about everything concerning ratings. However, I'm more convinced than ever that Savannah Guthrie puts on glasses when she does a "serious" interview, but that COVID making no one come into the studio for two years saved her career.

If interviewees don't answer the questions she asks like she wants them to ask, she gets downright angry. She's used to people doing what she wants because of her beauty halo. When they don't, she reacts with venom.

Al Roker somehow keeps surviving. He must've made some deal with the brass after the Matt Lauer thing. Hoda is Hoda and will be there forever. Hallie Jackson and Kristen Welker are the real news anchors on NBC. My wife thinks that Peter Alexander looks like Mr. Incredible.

I tend to watch GMA more than the Today show these days. Still not a big fan of Savannah-Hoda combo.

Hoda is just so sincere. You can't help but like her. Savannah sounds as sincere as a Kremlin press secretary.

I always wondered why these shows exist and who watches them. I was just having a conversation with a friend about who watches late night talk shows. Morning shows perplex me even more. But I'll admit most of my time just goes to listening to music or podcasts so I'm probably the odd one out.

My wife and I have been watching Today since we got married. We watch the local news to see what's happening and for the weather, then we get the morning's headlines from Today. After Meredith Viera left mostly we just complain about it. We love to make fun of Vicki Nguyen's obtuse recommendations (they're always upper, upper-middle-class stuff), to mock the chef segments, and to see how Craig gets passive-aggressive with his co-hosts. I really enjoy mocking Miguel Almaguer's narrator voice vs his live voice. His live voice is great. His narrating voice overly emotes to the point of comedy.

I'm aware of Meredith Viera. Not familiar with any of the other names.

10 years later, and I still don’t watch a morning news show. Guys, my 80 year old mom watches the Today Show. Or she did before Fox News was a thing. Not sure I want to ask her if she’s changed her morning TV habits.

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."
