Just Got a Phone Call from My Son...

He wanted to get a quick 9 in before work today, and shot a 31 at Fox Hollow. He was even through 5 and went birdie, birdie, birdie, eagle.

He was all excited and went to the clubhouse to inquire of the 9 record. It was 29. The worst part was... he had to get to work, and couldn't play nine more. I've got to hand it to him.... I would've kept playing.

I have had the irons for about 3 years and would really like a matching set, but not in the cards right now. My wish list includes a full Ping or Titleist set. I really like the look of the AP2's.

Wasn't with my FiL, he has one I don't. I also didn't put any balls into the water so it was unneeded.

3 putted the first hole.
4 putted the third hole.
3 putted the fifth hole.
3 putted the seventh hole.
3 putted the ninth hole.

3 putted the twelfth hole.
3 putted the thirteenth hole.
3 putted the fourteenth hole.

Everyone of the above putts coulda/woulda/shoulda been a 2 putt. Especially heinous was the 4 putt from 18 feet on 3 when a 10 inch tap in putt did a Mr. Ed, and I had to dodge it as it careened back towards my feet. I've been singing the praises of my new belly putter - but come on - this is crazy.

Shot of the Day: On the 5th hole, I was 161 out with a uphill hole, a bit of a face wind, wielding a 6 iron. Hit a high trap draw (on purpose even) which moved about 40 feet right to left, and spun nice when it hit the ground and left me 15 feet for a birdie putt. (3 putted)
