    The comma
As a general rule, do not use the serial/Oxford comma: so write ‘a, b and c’ not ‘a, b, and c’. But when a comma would assist in the meaning of the sentence or helps to resolve ambiguity, it can be used – especially where one of the items in the list is already joined by ‘and’:

They had a choice between croissants, bacon and eggs, and muesli.
I just lost one of the major sources of my sense of smug superiority over IPU.

This simply cannot be. I will never give up the Oxford comma. Ever. One of us still thinks this relationship means something.

    Somos dos.

There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Why would you speak to me that way, especially when I always said that I have got the 88 Donruss Grace rookie?

I had that card in my locker during law school. Not sure how it ended up there.

If it makes you feel better, wuapinmon, my writing professor insists on the use of the serial comma.

That was a second time joke, this time as a nod to Wuap. I made a similar crack once when he was talking about the Oxford comma, and he thought he had done something to offend me. ha.

I just sat down to write some annual assessment reports that I am now in charge of for work. The person who normally wrote them is no longer in charge of them and won't even see them, since they're now a VP of something or other. After 14 years, I finally get to use the Oxford Comma in them.
