Are Adam Scott and Williams pretty close?

Yeah. He and Stevie were fist bumping. I like Adam Scott. He's always seemed like someone who was on the cusp about 5 years back but then kind of melded back into the field. He's had a good year this year though. Maybe it's Stevie on his bag.

Fist bumping because of Tiger? That's hard for me to imagine. He and Tiger would fist bump too.

I know. I was talking about Adam's play. He was on.

Scott and Tiger in the final pairing on Sunday would be made-for-tv.

It would probably be more of an F you to win the PGA, let's see if he is willing to drop that bomb on Tiger.

                Tiger's post-round interviews: awkward.

It makes me laugh when Jim Nantz has to promote CBS shows like Big Brother during golf broadcasts:
Now just a reminder: Big Brother, things are going crazy as they always are in the Big Brother house and tonight at 8/7 Central you can catch up on all the latest antics.

Ha! Steve Williams slamming Tiger saying something like this was the "best week of my life after caddying for 33 years."

A little bit annoying though that Stevie is talking as if HE just won the tournament.

I agree with what you're saying here, but truth is, had Tiger not had Williams on his bag, I don't think Tiger would have been as dominant as he was and Tiger knows it.

Agreed. Tiger is an idiot for not wanting Steve back and I think it's great that Adam Scott won today with him on the bag.

The stuff Stevie said that was really weird was the "I've always been a great front-runner" stuff.

Uh Steve...you do realize you're not the one hitting the ball, right?

I agree, however, even though the caddie isnt hitting the ball, a good caddie is just as important, in my opinion. Stevie read all of Tigers putts for him, called out yardages, crowd control, etc... He knew Tiger's game just as well as Tiger did. If you notived this week, Tiger read all his own putts, and his caddy was basically just carrying his bag.

I watched the Golf Channel coverage before CBS took over and the commentators pointed that out. Interesting.

Yeah, dumping Steve Williams is going to be part of the explanation for why Tiger never gets back to winning majors or why the comeback takes a lot longer to happen than it could have.

His caddy was his best friend since 7th grade. He's been on Tiger's bag before a few times, but he's not really a caddy and won't be Tiger's caddy long term. Tiger has said he's seeking another caddy before this tournament ever started.

Frankly, I think Steve Williams' greatest asset to Tiger was crowd control. He could let Tiger be in his zone and take care of the peripheral stuff. I think his value in helping Tiger with yardages and reading putts is overstated. However, I think Steve's ability to help someone of lesser ability and talent like Adam Scott can be immeasurable.
