  • Trick or Treaters?

Is anyone else sitting around the house with a bowl full of candy and still waiting for the first ring of the doorbell? Or is Trick of Treating a thing of the past and no longer a part of the celebration?

I know trunk or treat is the thing in the ward/stake, but there are a lot of kids that attend the elementary school that aren't LDS who I thought would be out and about this evening.

Oh well. More candy for me.

We've actually had a fairly busy night for us - 20 to this point

I may be small, but I'm slow.

We successfully killed Trunk or treat last year and the door to door treaters have increased ten fold. Good times.

A couple years ago was pretty sparse. Last year and this year have been higher volume. Probably had 15-20 groups so far.

Anybody that takes the time to visit the doctor in the country gets a king-sized candybar. Some really happy kids.

20 or 25 groups. Probably about 75 kids.

You'll have 3x as many kids next year.

                    Maybe 80 or so.

I got home a little late and man with all the kids darting into the road seems like a miracle there aren't a couple dozen kids run over on Halloween every year.

Out now. Turned our lights out. I think we started with about 150.

we have had a steady stream of older kids at our house. This year we went for a different approach. You can choose between candy or a "Plants vs Zombies" free download promo code. Perks of the biz. Lots of parents coming to our door asking for the promo codes.

Fairly steady stream at our house, but it has seemed less than years past.

Baseball team met at the coach's house. There must've been about a thousand trick or treaters in the neighborhood (literally).....several police cars directing traffic in and out of the neighborhood. Traffic was at a near standstill from about 7p - 8p. Wall to wall people from about 530-830p. I've never seen anything like it, and supposedly was more crowded last year.
