Going through the west, he could get away with it against Yao, maybe. Yao is not terribly physical. But against Duncan....not so much.
Fortunately, Bynum has proven to be a pretty competent passer. So what he lacks on the front end he makes up for by hitting the open cutter.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I enjoy watching the Jazz, but aside from that I haven't watched an entire NBA game other than that Jazz.
It carries little interest for me as it's the one major sport that holds little to no unpredictability, and where outcomes are more controlled and contingent regarding referee involvement than any other sport. I know many here will disagree with me on that point, but it's pointless to change my mind, cause I've felt strongly about that for years. There isn't a single person or fan that should've been genuinely surprised by the Donaghy scandal.
Call me bitter, jaded, a conspiracy theorist or whatever you want, but I honestly believe that he was just the tip of the iceberg regarding dirty referees over the past 20-25 years.
If any fan tells me that they were geniunely surprised then I do not believe them as I'd like to have a shred of me left that would like to believe that we haven't become THAT guillable.Last edited by RockyBalboa; 01-12-2009, 06:57 AM.

God bless Josh Powell. Not having Sasha, Walton, and Farmar is hurting us."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

Holy shit. What a horrible game by these officials. Horrible travel call on Ariza at the end. They've been making a point to call those offensive fouls on shooters throwing their legs out to draw the foul. Mason does exactly this and they call the foul on DFish. Man, I usually don't get worked up by regular season games but that game had me painting the walls blue in my living room."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

oh, well. time to get ready for Orlando at home on Friday.
The Spurs gave it their best shot at full strength. they blew a lead at the end of the game and needed a travel call to win it. No worries.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Orlando should be a good game if Bynum gets up for it. He's been putting up numbers but his defense seems to be lacking. His feet have been awfully slow."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

I think the Spurs found a chink in the Lakers armor last night, they attacked Fisher most of the night. He is a defensive liability at this stage in his career.*Banned*

As an on the ball defender Fisher has always been a liability on defense. He's always been burned by faster guards who use the screen well. He never goes over the top of screens. The only thing he is good at is help defense and giving up his body in the lane for a charge. He can muscle guards that want to post up, but he doesn't have the quickness to keep up with the likes of Parker or Nash."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic
