You're more likely to be welcomed back into society after killing someone than if you either get caught with child porn or molesting a minor.

Jared Fogle was obviously guilty as charged. But my brother has come across quite a few cases where someone downloads a massive porn file through a torrent or some other Napster type service and it contains a couple pieces of child porn mixed into hundreds or thousands of other items. Those guys are still prosecuted as having sought out and obtained child pornography even though that wasn't really their intent.
