I pretend that they have a competition to see who can write a best seller (through Deseret or Seagull) using only their General Authority middle initial as a homophonic set of chicken-soup for the soul proverbial commangestions. Gordon Be Hinckley is the undisputed king president so far, and Dieter F Uchtdorf admits he'll never write anything in the category, but Elder Holland has a book of rhetorical questions in the works about sins of omission that looks to make some serious scratch/make Mormon moms feel even more guilty about petty shit than they already do. He's negotiating a scripture paper version of it, but some find that gauche, so it's publication date has been delayed a few times. Gerald Lund tried the same thing with The Work and the Glory, but when people starting taking the Strouds family history names to the temple to do baptisms for the dead, President Monson put his foot down and said, "I'll think about it."

I,m not sure if I asked this before, big thread is it true that the royalties from books all have to go to the missionary general fund? I heard that one before. Or do they make some money. I lost my cd of lengthen your stride but Ed Kimball said Apostles and members of the first quorum of the Seventy could not refuse a living allowance. When they made public second quorum some worked part time in law offices or as pilots. Don,t think they can do that. Brad Flster I heard went to check on his cattle when he had some free time told not too.
July, around , Christmas and Monday's are only chance ga,s get to write books and even then they may do a lot of work at the office.

My understanding is that some GAs have directed all book proceeds to the church with their books, while others have not.
Also wuap, you should consider that temporary break from the church, mental or physical, if you never took it. If you're feeling that caustic about GA's books, you should really step back and assess what the church means to you. Whatever you decide, it's got to be better than the limbo of bitterness you're feeling right now."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

McLarty Williams III or Elder John Mac Williams III. I suppose there's some convention on such things, but I've never been one for perfunctory titles.
