Hey, I even almost got a Biden yard sign but decided against it since I afraid of what might happen to my house if I put one up in my yard. I live in the burbs so it's heavy republican, although most of the repubs tend to be reasonable.

Then again, maybe that's exactly what the republican party needs.

I don't really dislike Biden. He's a little creepy with the hair sniffing stuff. And it cracks me up what he gets away with as far as gaffes from within his own party - who loved to pound on W for essentially the same kind of stuff, though less of it. But he comes across as mostly pragmatic and practical himself. I don't think HE has any ideas that are crazy enough to worry me.
What I worry about is whether or not he has a spine. He seems like the kind of guy who would succumb to peer pressure pretty easily. I mean - he isn't really super passionate about stuff - so I could see someone who is super passionate, emotional, and animated about things quickly convince him to back ideas that he normally wouldn't come up with on his own or back without that pressure being applied. And we live in a world where there is increasingly groups willing to apply pressure to get what they want. I think we need a leader who won't easily cave, and I'm not sure Biden is that guy.

Biden's mental decline bothers me (even at the peak of his cognitive powers three decades ago, the man was a gaffe machine), but it won't if Rice is in the co-pilot seat. It would if it were Harris.

I don't hate Kamela but Rice is more moderate and a calmer presence on the ticket.

He clashes with his mom a lot, but they still get along fine, suggesting she's open-minded and not overy doctrinaire.
