I just watched The Longest Day, so my odds aren't too good.

We watched Onward. The missus is nerdy enough that I think we'll be ok.

Crap. I am on death row (Just Mercy).

But I am not black and poor, so I have a fighting chance.

I'm a lawyer in the PA's office in fictional Kindle County. Stuck in the late 80s, early 90s.

    Not bad. Name the movie.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I worked at the same firm in the day. He never quit practicing there and maintained his title and an office for many years. Every time he published a new book they would distribute a free signed copy to all the attorneys in the firm. Perks! As a practical matter, however, he stopped practicing actively when his writing career took off. He was more of a marketing tool, occasionally lending his name for some perceived advantage or on a pro bono matter. As his writing career waned and the movie consultations dwindled, he returned to a more active practice but, as I understand, that was still mostly as a marketing magnet.
    PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Presumed Innocent was actually the first Turow novel I've read, and I just finished it this week (that's why I watched the movie). Such a well done legal thriller. I wondered what happened to him, since I haven't seen other books recently. Then I saw he published a book in 2017.

Outstanding book. Burden of Proof was also very good.

The Blind Side. I end up playing in the NFL, making out with Sandra Bullock, and taking over a multi-million dollar fast food empire.

If I'm going to be trapped in the movie I figured that I could influence the outcome a bit without completely changing the thrust of the movie.

Amazing Grace. A British film made in 2006. It was fantastic. Really spoke to me.

Inside Out because my kids are currently watching it twice a day. I don't know if I'd survive in the movie but I may not survive in real life.
