Ditto for me. The bread is very dry. My love for Gandolfo's does not extend to any of their other menu items. Just the Harlem with steak sauce for breakfast.

As ERCougar pointed out, their deli is as "NYC" as Taco Bell is Mexican food.

I believe the Provo location was the first one, no? Looks like he franchised his way to a nice payday. Good for him.

Ruth's was temporarily closed for remodeling and expansion of the kitchen. There is no better autumn morning breakfast than on Ruth's patio.

        This is great news.

The bread quality at Gandolfo's used to be hit and miss. I may be imagining it, but it seems to be much more consistent lately (on the good side).

I love all the small drive up hamburger joints that populate the rural towns of Utah. There is Sherald's in Price, Santa Queen in Santaquin, Stans in Hanksville, Little Acorn in Spanish Fork, Ideal Dairy(?) in Richfield, and dozens of others with great onion rings, burgers and shakes.

I also love the drive up Crest gas stations dotted around Utah County. You can go grab a 44 oz. soda without leaving the comfort of your own vehicle.

Oooh...good one. These are almost always really good, and they do seem a little unique to rural Utah.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Stan's was awful this summer when we stopped on our way back form Powell. I don't think I will stop next year. It was that bad.

Little Acorn in Spanish Fork is awesome.

Seriously? That's too bad. It was an institution growing up on Lake Powell trips. I haven't been there for about five years and it was good then. Maybe ownership has changed.

Were you on the annual houseboat trip with your in-laws? That's a great tradition they have. It seems like they've been doing it forever.

Yep it was the annual trip. It is a very fun tradition. Unfortunately this might be the last year. From what they have told us they are considering leaving on a mission before next summer.

We didn't hit it up last year for some reason. I think we were rolling through Hanksville around 10:30. This year however, it was awful and way to expensive. The service was as bad as it has ever been as well. If we do go next year and the mission hasn't happened yet, then I don't think we will make the stop.

carmel shake, english chips, and either a malibu chicken sandwich or a 1/4# w/cheese.

Raspberry shakes in the summer. Any other time of year it was something along with caramel usually banana or an Oreo shake.

I always get their bacon burger. I am sucker for those.

They do have good english chips. I forgot about that.
