I, for one, don't really care what those type of people, and especially Utes, say.

I'm with Flystripper: Discussions about SOS and the "transitive" properties of football victories are stupid.

As a fan, I'd rather see my team play (and beat) good teams than bad teams. One way to tell who is good is by who they beat (and how well they played against other good teams). Simple as that.

The way Jalen Hurts is playing - I'm kind of hoping for an Oklahoma vs Alabama matchup in the playoff this year. Can't say for SURE who I'd want to win that battle - and I tend to find Oklahoma irritating. But the idea of the guy Alabama put on the bench coming back to beat them in the playoffs is a nice story.

I don't know much about betting on football, but if Utah is really only favored over USC by 3.5, I'd take them to cover all day long. Maybe I'm missing something.
