2019 US OPEN and u Pick 'Em Game and Talk

Welcome to the 2019 US Open golf thread.

It takes place this year at what Alister McKenzie called "The greatest meeting between land and sea." Pebble Beach.

I played Pebble Beach in 1982 - shooting an 44-40. One of my most memorable rounds of golf. My heart was pounding through my chest on the first tee as the starter announced - "hailing from Beaverton, Oregon - clackamascoug! I hit it right down the middle - hit a nine into the green and two putted for a par. Yes - six was fun - Seven was exciting - but my favorite was the second shot on Eight. I hit a good drive and was left with a 5 iron into the green. I left it short left two feet from the green chipped up and two putted for a bogey. I stood there waiting for the group to putt out and I looked back at the cliff and where I'd hit from and thought to myself - "damn this place is beautiful." On Eighteen I hit my third shot to 12 feet and missed my birdie. It was by far - my most favorite round of golf. Including the 71 I shot at Hobble Creek.

Well - our mustachioed baritone has been kicking ass and taking names the last two majors. I suggest that RC or DH step up and do something about it.

I liked the format for the PGA we just played - but want to adjust it with two alternates for the weekend - just in case your guys get cut.

The Lexus commercial was very effective - until the end when a lady with a British accent spoke. It would have been much better if it were a Japanese accented woman speaking English.
