    Helicopter parenting on steroids or just par for the course in how the wealthy game the system? I just don't understand why they didn't just donate money directly to the university of their choice--doesn't that do the trick in a legal way?

      Yes, I was really bummed about Lori too. I can't imagine the Hallmark Channel will want to keep her now, though she has a main role on When Calls the Heart.

          Lots of shitposting on USC being lumped in with the other Ivy League universities caught up in the scandal. And rightfully so.

                  $15k so that the SAT scores can get rigged? Seems like for a only bit more of a charitable contribution directly to the school, they'd not only admit the daughter, they'd get to name some unclaimed campus item. Say, the William H. Macy and Felicia Huffman Student Lavatory and Makeup Room.

                            Because it only costs $75K to get someone to take the ACT for you. Donating $75K won't get your progeny into Harvard. Maybe $75M, but not $75K.
