Will BYU's season end RPI be outside of the top4? If they lose even one match, then it's very likely. If they don't lose it's very unlikely but could happen. My guess is the following: if BYU wins out they are a top 4 seed, if they don't they 5-8 seed regardless of the RPI.

RPI with quality wins and losses as defined by RPI top 25 and 50. BYU will do fine on this metric. A little light on top 25 wins relative to Stanford but lots of top 50 wins:

If BYU were to drop a match before the tournament, who do you think gets the top 4 over them? Would they just go with the top 4 in the RPI (currently Stanford, Illinois, Minnesota, and Texas) or do you see compelling arguments for other teams? For example, your rankings have Nebraska quite a bit higher than RPI does."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

Nebraska's really good, but they just don't look good enough using the NCAA metrics. Essentially, they have a handful of close loses to really good teams. They also played too many bad rpi teams early in the season. it's hurting their RPI even though they are really good.Last edited by pelagius; 10-29-2018, 03:36 PM.
